cask at cloisters ... amber thin white head ... soft sweet toffee apricot hop ... juicy fruits ... light toffee malt ... soft oily ... light clawing honey sweeetness ... not really hitting it for me. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 3, 2011
On cask at Cloisters. Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of grassy hops, yeast and barley. Similar flavours with a mildly dry finish. Foamy mouth-feel and a little CO2 prickle. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Cask with Mes at the Market Porter, 2nd Sept 2007. Darkish gold with a small white head. Flowery, citrusy hop nose but tea flavour lets it down. Creamy mouthfeel and lingering finish but this is average at best I’m afraid. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2007
A Mes rate:
Cask at the Market Porter. Mid gold with a decent white head. Nice grapefuity hop nose. Thin malty tea flavour. Really not my thing at all. As soon as I detect tea in anything I am totally put off. Thin yet sticky mouthfeel. Not my thing. haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2006
Cask (handpump) at the Babington (JDW) Derby. Decent, dependable Acron bitter, some gentle citrus notes, fresh bitter finish.
