Gravity cask at the Merton BF 2012. Amber with a lively white head. Good palate with good oily hops, but bitterness does note quite live up to initial promising aroma.
Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Pours amber in colour with a white head, good clarity, actually looks excellent much like its Acorn colleague, Northern Brewer IPA. A decent beer with a mid bitterness, quite fruity but I totally agree with Glen this lacks the crispness and refreshing bite that the Norther Brewer had. Pleasant but bettered by others. Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest ’12. Gold with white head. Dry, hoppy beer but with a slight metallic and flowery note. The dryness lasts through the beer and it is quite drinkable, but just not quite as crisp as I would normally enjoy. justm (165) - Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2012
Cask at Olde Dog Inn, Herongate. Pours a pale amber with a very thin grey/white lighty carbonated head. There is a slight wheat/citrus aroma. Thin and quite biting on the palate. Initially smooth and a little bitter, a lime citrus taste accompanied by the merest hint of grapefruit kicks in sharply then dries with a light, slightly fruity, cracker biscuit aftertaste. A really refreshing beer, whatever the season. harrisoni (19348) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2012

Cask Conditioned handpump Veritas Leeds. A golden beer with a big white head and lacing. Biscuity malt in the nose with restrained hops. Pleasant fruity taste with more biscuity malts. The hops are verging on the grassy although citrus comes through in the nose eventually. Quite plain really. BrotherLogic (252) - California, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Funny tasting but decent IPA from Acorn, on draft at Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. A lot of these Acorn IPAs are starting to taste the same and this is almost the median of them. Decent hop flavour and aroma, solid chewiness but nothing particularly exciting about and perhaps a little too bitter?
