Cask, gravity, Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb 2013 w/e of Friday 15th, Saturday 16th February 2013 Pours gold with mid sized white head. Well I have to say much like Hornbeam, Acorn have managed to come up with a distinctly ordinary beer here, to be fair to Acorn they are just showcasing the hops so maybe it is the hop that is the let down, not sure but this is far to run of the mill and safe. Not that crisp or refreshing in fact it is a little sweet and really quite forgettable. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0 imdownthepub (14555) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2013
Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Fest ’13. Amber with white head. This came over as more of a malty bitter with a hint of dry vanilla rather than a hoppy IPA. Some sweetish hops and essentially ok, but seemingly a little different to advertised. Went for it twice to check.
