Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield, UK. Medium gold, thin head. Ginger and resin aroma. Powerful resinous hops. Too bitter on the finish. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 22, 2012
[cask at the Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh] Clear golden pour with a nice even white head. Very fruity on the nose – peaches, apricots and that lychee sweetness you sometimes get with malt-forward British IPA’s. The flavours are pretty similar, it verges on the sweet for a golden ale, in my opinion, and really doesn’t taste 5% - but it’s a good beer, nevertheless cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 13, 2012
