500ml bottle [Thanks Tanja and Verena!]. Almost black colour with ruby glimmer and average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Minimally roasty and sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, a touch of treacle. Clear medium to dark amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, fruity, bread notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, bread, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
(swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, dark brown golden colour with a massive and slightly beige foamy head. Dark and roasted malty aroma with caramel, earthy notes and a tinge of herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a pleasantly soft carbonation. Earthy and mildly roasted malty taste with caramel and hints of chocolate; moderately sweet and delicately roasty malty finish with discreet hoppy bitterness.
