Citrusy - tart lemon and sweet orange. Also some wood and spice in there. Certainly different so points for that. ChainGangGuy (4897) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JUL 20, 2015
Appearance: Pours a pale orange-yellow body, lightly hazed, with a thin, stray, white head.
Smell: Tart, citrusy notes of orange peel and lemon rind, soggy oaken barrels, ground spices, subdued vanilla hints and a far-off lick of lacto.
Taste: A tangy, fruity citrus peel flavor with sweet, spiced orange marmalade and a honeyed sweetness atop the smooth (smoove) malted wheat wrapped in slight vanilla cream accents. Light coriander. Moderately acidic. Plush tannic accents, a little underpinning of lactic. Drying, charmingly sudsy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation for a decidedly crisp mouthfeel.
Overall: Far, far removed from a typical wit, but, in a way, it was quite enjoyable. Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 14, 2014
July 1st Sunday. Another new brewery and I liked all offerings had this day. This one was especially unique and nice. Oak was prominent with vinous, citrus, yeasty esters. Nice. kevinator (2268) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUN 22, 2014
This was decent. The original version is OK as well and I didn’t feel the barrel aging improved it much. Aroma was of lemon and wheat. The color was cloudy yellow with a good white head. Palate was light and carbonated. The flavor was a little too citrusy for my liking, which unbalanced the beer and took away from the spicy characteristics typical with this style. I detected some oak but very subtle. Worth a try, just not a repeat visit. SudsMcDuff (8438) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 20, 2013
had from bottle at the moody gardens beer festival .. . a barreled witbier, a bit odd but ok .. pours a mild orange amber .. solid foam .. . the barrel actually plays quite well .. mild to medium feel. i kinda liked this. wouldn;t want a whole bottle though .. . . Sometimes i think i’m a psychopath, but true psychos aren’t aware of that fact. Which means
i’m an angry idiot- that, i can deal with..

(750ml bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a spare white head. Aroma of wood, herbs, and yeast. Flavor of wood, grass, citrus, coriander, yeast, and butter. JStax (6913) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Bottle pour thanks to Errl. 750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Aroma has some fruity and funky zest with light notes of banana. Refreshing and fruity tasty. Somewhat sweet. Bubbly and spritzy mouthfeel. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Overcarbed beer yields a gorgeous pour with copious amounts of stubborn head and lace. Lemony fresh aroma, just about zero barrel presence. Sweet wheaty malt and lemon peels on the palate, not much else. Decent. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2013
Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some slightly tart cherries and grapes with a little bit of wheat thrown in. The flavor is not quite as good. I get some cherry and oak notes, as well as some wheat and red wine character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2013
(750ml bottled on 2/12/2013 thanks to mora2000) clear gold, fine white bubbles. Nose is lightly tart, lemon, oak, white wine, actually smells pretty nice. Taste of coriader, lemon, light wheat, balanced and dry, spices, nice beer. Light tart finish, perhaps some brett as well.
