COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black bears can weigh 600lbs, sprint over 25mph and climb like a squirrel. They have terrible eyesight, yet can smell you 20 miles away especially if your packing fruity gorp and apples. Hey, to a bear, you’re just like a 180lb fruit bowl coming down the trail! Bear Naked Ale is an all natural medium-bodied amber ale with a brilliant copper hue. Top fermenting ale yeast and a high proportion of imported Munich malt create a clean and crisp beer with a toasty, fruity backbone. Don’t get caught with your pants down, drink responsibly.

0.33 l bottle, brought by a friend, from Lake George, USA. Orange colour, clear liquid, dirty white head. Aroma has notes of figs, raisins, anise, bilberries, malt and brown sugar. Light to medium body, bitter and a little bit sweet taste, dry texture, bitter aftertaste.

Pint @ brewery pub. Clear, amber beer with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma, flavour is similar. Delicious

Draught @ the source. Clear amber with large foamy whitish head, malt aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter malty taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Not very remarkable.

Had while at lake George. Not remarkable not special. I really was hoping for more honestly. It just sank and didn't do much for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy light brown to amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated pretty quick. Lace slides into the beer. The aroma had some sweet to roasty nuts, toast and biscuits, and grassy hops for some bitterness. The flavor tried to blend the hops to malts but mainly stays with the malts as the forerunner of the taste. Semi-dry roasty sort of nutty aftertaste which holsters the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine where it is. Semi-smooth on my tongue. Overall, fairly nice amber ale worthy of coming back to.

OnTheTrail (494) - Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Pours almost clear amber, off white head. Aroma is malty, somehow overripe. Shellack? Taste is an unpleasant bitterness, somehow off. Date is unclear, maybe it’s too old?

czar (9015) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 24, 2016
bottle at friend’s place - thanks. pours hazy copper-red with a small off-white cap offering minimal retention and lacing. toasted red maltiness, faint berry fruitiness, some caramel but not overwhelming, a grainy character persists, some oxidized tea and tree autum leaves, metal, pepper. moderate carbonation - prickly at first; light body - thin; relatively dry and bland grassy-herbal finish. o-k for what it is.

An extremely drinkable amber ale, nice and malty with a little sweetness. Blows Fat Tire out of the water IMHO.

Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 8, 2016
A copper amber ale with a very thin off white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with faint grassy hops, so-so. In mouth, a rather light caramel malt with light mineral notes, watery bodied, light grassy hops, very plain. On tap at North Country Brewfest 2016.
