Orangy brown. Small off white head. Aroma malt, pine, floral. Medium full body. Flavor is somewhat bitter, somewhat sweet, not particularly hoppy, not much in particular. Some alcohol. It’s not offensive or anything but not really enjoyable or recognizable as a double IPA. bigda83 (854) - Jamestown, New York, USA - JUN 15, 2015
Bottle. Poured a clear orange/amber color with a small fluffy white head. Aroma was very dank and weed-like. Some pine and grapefruit as well. Flavor followed the nose exactly. Very good and was impressed by this. Hasn’t had any rates in a while, but from what I’ve heard they just started bottling it. Medium to full body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and bitter to finish. Very good. blipp (9598) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Draft. Pours hazy yellow gold with a white head. Grassy and flowery hops, light earthy notes, and light sweet malty notes. Meh. Good, not great. mansquito (6814) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUL 7, 2014
The Ruck, Troy tap: Pours copper with a slight off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit and tons of it, light hints of booze, and plenty of sugar. Taste is bitter and quite fruity. The fruitiness softens the bitterness a bit. This beer isn’t doing anything new, but I thought it was a drinkable double IPA. Unlike the other raters, I didn’t find it boozy, but maybe that was because I was chomping on wings. adamhorror (84) - USA - JUN 13, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2013 Appearance is hazy light copper, yellowish hay straw. Nice thick head. Aroma is high citrus and pine, very deep pine. Taste is pine, alcohol, slight citrus. Palate is alcohol, almost corn like moonshine if you have ever drank that. In other words, high alcohol taste on the palate that isn’t very inviting to the next sip. It is the only downfall to this double. But it does leave a big lace on the glass.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2015 Draft at Pony Bar HK with Linh. Pours a bright, hazy orange body with thin soapy white lacing. Aroma is very faint hop, light malt and flowers. Mouthfeel is creamy with notes of floral hops dominating, dry citrus fruits, light spice, light sweetness and grapefruit. The alcohol becomes much more noticeable with each sip with an almost cloying character in the finish. -0.4 dogfishho (669) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2013
On tap at the Pony Bar in Hell’s Kitchen. The aroma is dominated by piney and citrusy hops. On the palate, the beer is a bit of a slow starter. First couple of sips just taste bitter. However after a few minutes, it really opens up. Very nicely balanced grapefruit, pine, and sweetness from the malts. The alcohol is also extremely well integrated and tough to detect.
