On tap at the source. Served in a snifter. Poured a clear amber with a thin beige ring for a head. Light brown sugar, caramel malt nose. Some dark fruit. Flavor is sweet, but not what I expected. Body was also lighter than expected. On their beer menu this was listed as a Scotch ale, so I was expecting more flavor and more body. Not bad, just not what I was hoping for. mabuzzer (909) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017

Plum and raisin scents, sweet malty overtones. Deep black in color. Small head poured from 12 oz bottle. Initial taste is burnt sugar and caramel which quickly subsides into a malty whiskey aftertaste that clings to the tongue. The lingering effects of sip after sip leaves a tingle on the tongue similar to scotch whiskey. Very different mouthfeel and very welcomed during colder months.
