On draught in the brewery’s Biergarten. A pilsner in the dominant Franconian usage, which is to say light, well hopped in an historical a sense and crisp-edged. Oh that all were like this. Oakes (17676) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 31, 2011
Golden colour with thick pils head. Hoppy-grassy aroma. The herbal hops are nice, with moderate bitterness. Pale malts are refined, clean and understated. I was thirsty after a tough ride into the wind and this hit the spot. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2011
Draft @ Adler Brau Merklein Stettfield...glassy gold, sparkly clear with stable white head. Floral hop aroma. Very quaffable and refreshing. Light on the tongue with low malt sweetness and high on the leafy and floral hops. omhper (25119) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, brief head. Grassy spicy nose. Dry and crisp with rounded moutfheel and fairly light body. Quite bitter finish. Less flavourful and less inviting than the zwickel, but still a really good pilsener. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Weak buttery/creamy aroma. Clear golden colour. Stable rocky white head. The flavour is mild, quite malty, low to medium bitterness. Has a little creamy note, but the maltiness is very good.

Bottled 50cl. Clear pale yellow with an average sized nicely lacing white head. Biscuity pale malts, spicy hops and gooseberry showing up in the nose. Good bitterness. Dry finish. Flawless and rather pleasant. rauchbier (3891) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2004
Bottle, from Vroni’s in Bamberg. Gold, moderate white head and good condition. Low but pleasant hop aromas and faint trace of grain. Soft and sweet in the mouth with the grainy malt now dominating a gentle hop flavour. Sweet malt lingers longest in the finish.
