Cask Pint – JDW Fest Autumn 2012 - Amber in colour. Hoppy; piney resinous and earthy hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; toasty biscuity malts. Full flavoured for low ABV. Resinous hops and citric bitterness throughout; dry assertive bitter finish. Decent. Nice half IPA! SilkTork (5761) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2014
Oct, 2012. JDW, Rochester. Big hop burst on this session bitter. Malt is dry and well integrated with bittering hops. Hop character is a little sharp and brittle for my taste, dominating the malt.

Cask at the old jailhouse, Winchester.wheresthepath (2345) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2012
light chestnut with creamy white head.Resinous hops with plenty of grapefruit and mango character with little in the way of bitterness. Reminds me somewhat of ghost ship. Dry finish. Lovely.
[Cask at the William Robert Looseley (JDW), High Wycombe] Amber with a small white head. Intensely hoppy from the off, although the initial taste of pine disinfectant is not the greatest start. Fortunately the detergent soon fades to reveal lot of pithy grapefruit. Some sweet caramel malt does eventually manage to fight its way through, but really this is all about the hops. So... there’s a LOT of flavour for the low ABV, but it’s rather unbalanced. Personally (controversial, I know!) I think Adnams may have done this better on theor own.
