50 cl bottle, as Marks and Spencer. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and citrusy. Dry, solid hoppy and estery. Dry and bitter finish. RichTheVillan (8213) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2015
Bottle from M&S Beggars Bush; clear burnished amber pour with a thin white head, aroma has caramel and some dark fruits, taste has some yeast esters, a hint of apple, caramel, some peach, ok. blackradioboy (222) - SCOTLAND - JUL 10, 2015
Bottle from M&S. This beer ticks all the boxes - beautifully balanced, everything seems to fall into place here. Slightly sweet, then bitter with a long, lingering finish. The depth of flavour here is special. To date, one of my favourite bottled beers.

500ml bottle as M&S Southwold Summer IPA. Pours clear amber, short-lived white head. Aromas of limes, chalk, fresh orange, bubblegum. Taste is more citrus, with white sugar sweet notes rather than caramel. Develops into a lime marmalade kinda thing, with more hubba bubba. Bitter finish. Yeah, pretty good. strangehorse (82) - - MAY 17, 2015
As M&S Southwold Summer IPA. Adnams are a first-rate brewer, but alas they’ ve gone for a heavier American-style IPA (which isn’t a true IPA at all). Can’t taste the supposed citrus edge to this...disappointed.

As Marks and Sparks Southwold Summer IPA. Clear amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Semi dry. Light malts carry a fair bit of caramel. Mild esters. Hops are a mildly bitter floralness. Smooth semi dry finish. Bitter linger. Too caramel dominated to be a decent IPA, more of a big ESB.
Labeled as Marks & Spencer Southwold Summer IPA. Pours clear, reddish amber. Small white head which quickly dissipates to lace. Big citrus/soapy hops aroma with a hint of barnyard. Light body, as expected from an English ale. Nice bitterness, well balanced. sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2014
M&S Bottle. Beautiful amber color with creamy head of varying sized bubbles that dissipates moderately quickly. Hoppy, citrusy aroma. Very bitter, strong taste of straw, hay, and grass, but without being astringent. For someone who doesn’t like IPAs, this one is pretty good: soft mouthfeel makes it pleasant to drink. rauchbier (3932) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2014
Bottle, M & S version. Deep golden brown, thin but sustained white head and moderate condition. Sweet and malty nose with a suggestion of chocolate and vinous fruit, some yeast notes and a low citrus hop. Bitter and chalky in the mouth with a low fruitiness, some yeast and a vague chocolate sweetness, finish is mostly yeast and hop bitterness with a brief tang of fruit Garrold (5597) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2014
The M&S version. Clear, copper colour. Bubbly, lasting, white head. I’m not having a good beer evening, this evening. Another big, fruity, buttery job. Chewy, toffee sweet palate. Bitter finish. Hoped for more from a 6.8% Adnams beer. Oh well...
