Adnams Explorer captures the spirit of discovery by blending Chinook and Columbus hops with the New World. The citrus attack will burst on your palate. Fantastic served chilled and the fruity hoppiness of the beer means that it goes well with cleanly flavoured foods. Try it with salmon, vegetarian options and with summer salads. (Contains barley). Silver medal winner at the 2015 Great British Beer Festival. Bottle. Filtered and pasteurised.

Scrapersnbeer's rating

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 30, 2013
Soapy mellow citrus aroma, like a spring day or something like that. Hazy yellow color. Soft hoppy taste, smooth sweet malts. Very light body, smooth texture mostly covers a minor bite. Can’t tell if it’s better chilled, which bitters usually are not.

blond looking beer, not much head. very light floral scent. strong and a solid pint but nothing special.

phfyysik (1605) - Tartu, ESTONIA - OCT 20, 2017
Pours golden with light white head. Aroma is fruity, some sweetness, a bit hay, some dust. Taste is fruity, some sweetness, light bitterness, light, some floral, tropical fruits. Drinkable beer!

Grumbo (4739) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2017
Bottle from a local supermarket. Pours yellow gold with an average sized white head. Aroma of citrus, hop, malt, light toasting and light caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Quite light body, slight oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation.

Cunningham (8687) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2017
Clear deep golden color with a fine thick off white head. Ok lacing. Looks good and inviting. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Caramel malty, toffee, fruity and herbal flavor. Solid bitter.

500ml bottle from East of England Co-Op Foodstore, shared with Cunningham on the train from Norwich to Chelmsford. Clear amber coloured body. Covering white head. Caramel malty nose. Malt-fruity flavours of orange, dough and toffee. Rounded bittersweet tail. True to the style and pretty alright. (18.02.2017).

radassace (456) - SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2017
500ml bottle, pours gold with a white head. First beer I’v ever poured down the sink ! Absolutely fowl, may have been a bad batch ? Nose was canabis resin, oil, pine resin, ivy leaf and a bit of tropical fruit. Taste was dank, musty, canabis, grass, vegetable, sulphur.

FatPhil (17735) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2016
500ml bottle - thanks Marduk!
Ugh, messy sweet sticky aroma, perfumey, mushroomy, even stale and mouldy, not good. Similarly perfumey taste, but less of the unpleasant aspects. Medium palate, some sweet fullness, some resiny bitter hint, carbonation pleasant enough. Just about drinkable, as long as you don’t have to smell it.

Marduk (8998) - Reval, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2016
500ml bottle. Clear amber color. Medium size, off-white bubbly head, stays. Perfume, caramel, wet grass and grainy in aroma. Perfume, sweet, fruity, some citrus and caramel in taste. Citrus, caramel and grainy in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Feels bit old, but still drinkable brew.

AshtonMcCobb (7132) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2016
