COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - An easy drinking traditional style ale. Clean and refreshing yet dark and mysterious, Fisherman is a deep coppery red, conjuring up roasted nuts and dark chocolate, with a lingering taste of liquorice and dried fruits.

john44 (3101) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2017
Cask Half Pint – JDW Fest Autumn 2012 - Dark Brown in colour with Reddish tinge. Malty; roasty malts, bit of toffee, dark chocolate, hints of liquorice and roasted nuts. Fruity; dark fruits. Hoppy; slightly earthy hops. Sweetish malty fruity throughout. Decent; but is it a Bitter or an Old Ale. (2012-10-25)

Cask at standing order. Pours reddish brown, nose is light toffee, taste is creamy, malty.

downender (8659) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Dark, ruddy brown with a decent, off-white head. Spices, tobacco and roasted malts, slightly out of place milk chocolate and a moderately bitter finish. So so.

ManVsBeer (10452) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2012
Dark bitter with a glow. Deep malts in the aroma and a slightly sweet taste. Fairly crisp.

Cask by handpump at Counting House, Glasgow (29 Oct 12) - deep red tan, no bubbles, tan head, coffee, roast malt aroma, roast malt flavour, sweet, oily feel

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2012
Cask at JDW. Dark amber shade with a small ring of bubbles. Deep, malty caramel flavours dominate but there’s a very noticeable toasty character and some interesting hints of spices. Credit to them as this does taste like something I imagine a stereotypical fisherman might drink.

yespr (45443) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2012
From cask at The Hengler’s Circus. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty, breadish and roasted. Light herbal, breadish to light sweet caramelish. Toasted and lingering caramelish together with a good bitterness to counterbalance. Dry and bitter, malty finish.

3.5
DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2012
The Felix, Nuneaton, 08/11/12. Sesame oil aroma, slight sulphur. Good complex malt sweetness with sesame, black cherry, cocoa sprinkles, hints of burnt toast and dried fruit. Unexpectedly deep.

berkshirejohn (6499) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2012
Cask at The Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. An amazing colour - raspberry red when held up to the fire, otherwise magohany with a ring of white head; earthy malt aroma; rather thin and sweet in the mouth with a soft, berry fruit flavour; and some dry chocolatey malts to finish. Needs a bit more weight.

3.2
cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 29, 2012
cask at Sorder ...deep red brown ... thin tan head ... soft toffee roast malt nose ... creamy malts ... soft woody toffee
