Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

Cerveja que remete à escola inglesa, apesar do uso de lúpulos amercanos. Na aparência, uma coloração âmbar clara, levemente turva, é coroada por uma espuma bem formada, de cor creme, mas não muito persistente. No aroma, damasco, caramelo, herbal, leve toffle.

In brown bottle. Tastes like a cliche Suffolk ale but with citra hops. Suffolk beers dull on my palate really quickly. The first gulp is oooh! then it becomes bland and boring really quickly. Add to that it has got onto the Citra bandwaggon which is not a particularly good hop. So a bit mehhhh really.

Bottle. Nose is fruity, yeasty, pineapple.Taste is malt, light grain leading to light fruity hops, with floral notes. It's a decent enough blond enlivened with modern hops.

Clear golden pale colour. Not alot of smell but this beer is hoppy (But not over the top). Slightly citrus. For a traditional UK beer/pale ale, it's quite pleasant and easy to drink. Worth trying!

I'm reviewing my favourite beers from Tesco at the moment, and this is right up there. It's my favourite Adnams beer, along with their Dry-hopped Lager. It looks like a classic English bitter, with a coppery tan colour and a fine, lasting head. Smell has a cheesy maltiness, but the taste adds a substantial hops dimension, with a strong but not overbearing clinch of bitterness at the end. It's by no means a routine beer, because that cheesiness plays into the flavour too, plus almost a salty meatiness. I like that sort of thing, especially when, as here, it's so well combined with a crisp hop edginess. This beer has all the flavours, from malt through yeast and alcohol to hops, without letting any one of them take over. Proper love it.

0.44 l can shared at home, thanks to my family. Pours clear golden with thick head. Nose is surprisingly vivid hoppy, and so is the taste. Not too complex, but a well made piece. Light bodied with average carbo.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2018 A real fusion of aromas, flavours and looks. Strangely likeable to me, and great served cold from the fridge.

Thin beige head left a collar on an opaque, copper coloured body. Well balanced aroma of malt & grapefruit - smells tremendous! Medium bodied, well carbonated with a crisp feel & clean finish. The taste is much as the aroma with strong malt mixing with strong grapefruit & pithy bitter citrus leaving a malty finish. Damn good Pint!
