Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

This one pored into a pint glass and has a golden amber color. The aroma is almost a spice with nodes of hops. The flavor is the same spice with nodes or hops and finishes a little bitter. It flows across the palate with slight carbonation. Overall a very good beer from Adnams, I will drink this one again.

Can at Tattersalls, Newmarket. 01/04/17. Hay and floral aroma. A hoppyness to it. Amber. Frothy white head. Medium bitter. Hippy. Underlying caramel sweetness. Light bodied. Sharp carbonation. Long but low key finish. Pretty enjoyable.

[email protected], Copenhagen - Golden Amber pour with white head. Sweet white bready malty with some citrus fruity notes, medium to light hoppy bitter finish. Think I prefer it on cask.

All British beers tonight - bottled - but would need to hold their own in a decent pub. This would do OK - colour is dark amber to copper with a small white head. Us hops provide some pleasant citrus on the nose, slightly floral, decent malt. Malt leads in the mouth, with cereal and toffee, with some fruit from the hops. Medium body, low carb.

500ml bottle. Clear amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Perfume, sweet, bit of liquid yeast and some cloth in aroma. Perfume, herbal hops, fruity and some grain in taste. Herbal hops and grains in aftertaste. Quite average bitterness. But this is average bitter too. Drinkable brew.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Aroma: malty, hay, caramel, dust. Taste; watery, caramel, rotten wet hay, sweetish-sourish-bitterish, unbalanced. Thin plus body. Bitterish finish. Messy brew.

From a 5 litre mini-keg, purchased from Tesco Gateshead that I took to a Christmas party. Served in a plastic glass, for shame. Gold with a white pillow of a head. Citric aroma and flavour, with a cereal malt base coming from the rye. Some herbal notes. Uncomplicated quaffer perfectly fit for purpose.
