COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013 and Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

Good stuff! Not a fan of the pale ales, usually they are to bitter and hoppy for my taste. This one, however, is the perfect combination of hoppiness and goodness! Cheers!

Cask (handpump) at the Piccadilly Tavern, Manchester on 18 January 2017. Mini rating as I have more extensive notes in the backlog (27/07/2011 & 27/07/2015 - to be entered in due course). Adnams best regular beer in my view and I’m always happy to grab a glass of this when there’s nothing more esoteric on offer. Rich golden amber colour. There’s a solid New World hop aromatic/tropical fruit character but it’s backed up with a firm tangy bitterness and a biscuity malt base. A tasty drop.

Cask Pint in Lowestoft in July 2015 - Golden in colour. Hoppy; grassy hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus, lemon and lime. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Nice hoppy fruity bite! Mildly bitter hoppy fruity throughout. Nice beer! (2015-07)
