BeerViking (4980) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2011
Cask at the Plough & Harrow (JDW), Hammersmith. Deep red-brown with a fine lacy beige head, roast malt and fruit cake on the nose, more roast malt plus peppery hops, a little toffee and some fruit - pears? - in a warming and chewy body, then a roast-bitter aftertaste. Could make an excellent winter warmer.

Cask at Wetherspoons, 02, Finchley Road, London. An amber coloured pour with medium white head. Malty, fruity aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, malty. Rather plain.

Another new Adnams to me. Not so bright in the style, I found it a little too bitter like the rest fo the adnams ones.

(Cask at Kings Head, Earls Court, London) This beer had a lot of dunke like characteristics. There were malts, molasses and some caramell. Bitterness was low and hops were quite mellow. I enjoyed drinking this one.

[email protected] Ambery brown colour with small foamy off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark fruits, mild liquorice as well as some mild nuttyness. Flavour is quite similar with also some mild toffeeishness to it.

larsga (7625) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2010
Medium offwhite lasting head. Deep dark brown faintly hazy body. Faint caramelly aroma with earthy notes. Dry-sweet roasty caramelly butterscotch taste with dusty roasted rice notes. Incredibly smooth and mild mouthfeel. Light body. Dry cinnamon and wood aftertaste with caramelly notes. Very, very nice, and incredibly drinkable. (0.5l cask at Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich, London.)

A caramel body; fruity texture, good malt texture, however a little boring on the down take. This could do with some more hops. I had this very close to Adnams’ brewery. I’m quite surprised of how boring this tasted which shows how far I’ve grown with RB experiences. This is a bland English mild.

ladnewton (2014) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2010
Cask at the Gunmakers, London on 10th February 2010. Rich, intensely grassy and aromatic with classic Adnams haystack straw nose and a bitter, spicy aftertaste. Zingy mouthfeel.

DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2009
Cask Stillage from the Outside Marquee at the Prince Of Wales, Foxfield 07/11/2009 Some hop aroma. Amber mid brown coloured and fruity with a crisp and bitter caramel malt finish.

bacchanalia (146) - milton, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2009
A nice enough light amber ale, slight mushroom & vegetal on the nose & palate, but some maltiness & a little bit of bitter hops on the finish. Some nice dark fruit flavours in the background too. Okay but there’s better beers of this style out there folks.
