Cask (handpump) @ Pakenham Arms, 1 Pakenham Street, Holborn, Greater London, England WC1X 0LA.

Clear medium to dark orange amber colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, nutty, earthy, hoppy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130118]

[email protected] Edmund Halley "spoons", Lee, SE London - Dark amber/brown pour with light white head. Strong caramel malt base with toffee and dark fruit notes, overall tastes like Adnams other seasonal "Shingle Bells" just not as good. Below average overall for me (d10)
