COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The hops in Innovation are the stars of the show. We used Boadicea, Columbus and Styrian Goldings to create punchy grapefruit flavours and aromas of tropical fruits. These are backed up by wheat and pale ale malted barley which add spicy, biscuit flavours and a slight touch of sweetness. The outcome is a wonderfully moreish IPA, packed full of flavour. Silver Medal Winner - The Stockholm Beer Festival 2013. (Contains barley & wheat).

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma has crispy malt, caramel, peach and grapefruit. Taste of bitter caramel, orange zest, some pineapple, peach and grapefruit. Not very innovative, but nice nonetheless.

Wat er nou innovatief is aan deze 'innovation' ipa blijft mij onduidelijk, maar lekker is ie wel! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A thick foam quickly dissipates revealing a cloudy amber hue. Nose is a velvety mix of malt and sweet caramel. Taste is full and rich with a malty undertone and sweet fruity notes with a biscuity texture. Quite a sweet, dry finish with a hint of hoppy bitterness lingering on.

06-10-2017; bottle; at home (bought at Albert Heijn, Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are not bad. They are typical for an IPA. The beer has a nice golden amber colour. It is crystal clear. On top of the beer some nice rough white foam is formed. Foam retention is rather low. After a while hardly anything is left. The beer smells nice. It is a typical IPA. Malts aren't strongly represented, but some slight sweets from the malts might be there. The hops fulfill the most of the smell. It is nice. The hops give some nice citrus aromas, acidic and slightly bitter from the hops. I also smell some passion fruit, but also some nice herbs and piney touches. It is nice. The taste is also nice. There are some nice sweet malts, a full alcohol flavour and also nice hops. The hops give nice sweets and some bitters. The hops give flavours of citrus fruits and nice zest. It is well balanced. The taste of the beer is nice. Medium body, smooth texture and a medium high carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. It is filled with nice sweet malts, sweet fruity hops and some bitter and refreshingly sour hops. All in all, a very nice beer. I like it.
