3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml brown bottle. Orangey colour, clear, clingy white head. Malty nose, nut, caramel. Taste has firm malt, some toffee, mild orangey hops. Dry end. Light body with smooth mouthfeel. A nice bitter, very easy drinker.
They say it's a golden beer, but it looks more of a blood-orange colour to me. The surprising thing to me was how strong the hops taste is. But the bitterness was a bit one-dimensional for me and created a wall of dull bitterness at the end of the taste, which I found off-putting. But it's a well-bodied crisp beer and a good example of what I would think is an English pale ale. Adnams are a favourite brewery of mine, and they are good at these lower ABV beers, in my opinion--their Sole Star is my preferred low-alcohol beer. So I respect this effort, but I would choose other Adnams beers over it. mabuzzer (957) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - SEP 5, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear amber with a thin white head. Malt aroma, light flavour of malt and a little spice. Bit watery p0urmeac0ld0ne (413) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - AUG 27, 2017
very inoffensive, very "weak" (i.e. - sessionable) pale ale that is a roasted dark amber colour, something i did not expect, considering the strength and label. traditional bitter overtones with a decent amount of hops. very drinkable, very enjoyable, but on the other hand nothing to write home about. a good all-rounder but nothing groundbreaking. nybol (2442) - DENMARK - JUL 12, 2017

Bottle 50cl, a copper beer with low head. Nose is on ripped apples. Aroma is on honey, hop resin, blond caramel and toasted caramel, peppery hops but very low body, still pleasant and very easy drinkable.
