Cask; Seasonal - June to August. Retired after the summer of 2011. his is a blonde ale, brewed with East Anglian Pale Ale malt and English hedgerow hops. Light and crisp with a lovely biscuit backbone, perfect for the summer. A distinctively different summer bitter delicious served cool. Perfect accompaniment to white fish, prawn & curry dishes. Cask at the Bricklayers in Colchester. Lightly hopped, lemony, a little yeasty. Refreshing.

Tried at the Hop and Barley, Lincoln. Golden colour with a thick head. Very light lemon aroma and taste. Medium body.

Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys London as Adnams Regatta. Pours a dark golden yellow, clear and still with a dense creamy beige head, full lacing. Aroma is airy, very light with some faint lemon cake, sweetcorn. Very much an airy aroma. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is biscuit, rusk, crispbread, touch of carpet underlay and faint sweetcorn with a long understated bitterness. Plain but I do like that simple breathy malt character. You need to appreciate subtlety to enjoy this one. An everyman beer that can be consumed in large quantities. (4-4-5-4-13=3.0)

Quite a light easy drinking pint. Lemon overtones and keeps it's head well. More of a summer beer than one I would drink in winter.

Desverger (13711) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2017
[email protected], Copenhagen - light golden pour with thin white head. Light fruity and malty, biscuity malt, cereal, some lemon citrus accents, grassy green hoppy notes into thin close. Great condition. Nice.

jjsint (3604) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2017
Handbill cask at the Bowling Green, Leicester. Blond, clear with a small white head. Floral buttery and grainy aroma. Taste is worse: malty, buttery and messy. Unfortunately the finish is long. Not tasty but I don’t completely hate it.

2.5
Grumbo (4264) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2017
Cask at the Greyhound, Ipswich. Pours pale gold with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, hop, grain, fruit and grass. Toward heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Had this a fair few times years ago and I remember it being a lot better back then.

2.2
Beese (3301) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2017
Cask at Prince Charles, Euston. Very warm, in fairness. Malt heavy, and quite metallic. Some floral hop aroma.

ManVsBeer (11168) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2017
Cask @ The Waterhouse, Manchester. Blonde with a head. A malty bitter in character.
