TEJA (3056) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2017
Sampled at the Redan Pub, London. Fine and lasting head. Clear brown-red color. Big malty aroma from chocolate malts. Very malty with a both munic and chocolate maltiness. Small fruitiness and a balanced bitterness. Well fermented with no residual sweetness. Full bodied and a nice christmas beer.

Cask. Dark chestnut brown with a medium pale tan / yellowed head. Aroma is tobacco, malts, some fruit. Flavour is malty, caramel, little nutty, light bitter finish.

Cask at The Travellers Rest, London Victoria. Pours clear red brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, dark fruits and raisin. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

dynamiteninja (1864) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2013
Cask at the Fitzrovia (Taylor Walker), Goodge Street in London. Reddish brown body. Thin off white head. Malty, hops, red fruit, blackcurrant, raspberries, black malt. Bittersweet with some sourness. Dry finish. I wouldn’t really call this a mild, more of a bitter. As others have commented, an unusual beer for Adnams, as this is more malt than hop led.

Cask in the Grenadier, a while ago now. Dark brown malty beer, some fruit, I guess unusually malt over hops for an Adnams. Decent enough, though I don’t remember being inspired.

I reckon this is exactly the same ale as Adnam’s Gunhill which coincidently is also 4% ABV.

Cask @ The Greyhound, a Taylor Walker pub in Kensington. Is this a rebadge? The pour’s deep brown with a small head. The nose is berry, some spice, rich malts, general fruits. The taste is chewy, thick sweet malts, caramel, light toasted coconut and brown bread. Berry. Rich, smooth palate. Still, not drinking on great form. Overall, OK.
