COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is made from a blend of East Anglian malted barley, Boadicea and First Gold hops and high grade malted wheat which is then filtered to allow the aromas and flavours within the beer to remain. Spindrift is top-fermented and it should be served chilled with a thick, continental-style head. (Contains barley & wheat).

330ml bottle. Sweetish malt and fairly zesty, lemon hops. First impression good but not a session beer to me as it the citrus quality was sliughtly overpowering.

Tap at the Greyhound, Ipswich. Pours golden to amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of hop, grass, malt and citrus. Quite heavy sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium to light body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Bottle. Golden in colour. Hoppy; mildly hoppy. Fruity; citrusy lemon and apple. Malty; pale malts, wheat; caramel. Sweet fruity malty and fairly dry throughout. Light bodied. A cross between ale and lager. Refreshing. Drinkable. (2011-02-24)

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours clear amber with very thin watery head. Aroma of wheat, tangerine and biscuits. Overly carbonated and lacking bitterness, but quite drinkable.

Keg in one of Adnam’s many East Suffolk pubs. Blond with asome thin white head. The taste is citrus with some bready notes in the background. Light and refreshing, but lacking in flavour and character.

niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2015
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden with white head. Erm, it doesn’t taste of much really. Some dryness, a bit lager like. Dull as dishwater and not even in a blue bottle!

3.3
uckelman (805) - Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2015
Pours golden, slightly hazy. Not much head. Aroma is resin and floral---can really smell the hops here. Surprisingly silky body for a beer this pale. Not a ton of flavor.

sarauckelman (542) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2015
Clear amber, no head. Very little aroma. Palate is very short, due to lots of carbonation, and watery on the end. Not much flavor.

edsspoon (900) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2015
Bottle - deep golden with a rapidly disappearing fizzy beige head. aroma of orange, grass and caramel. Taste of lemon, orange and flowers followed by some caramel. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Alright.

Keg at the Blue Moon, Cambridge. Light to mid-gold. Not much head but there is some lacing. Grain with a bit of lemon and soap. A reasonable aroma, but not all that much better than a mediocre cask golden or a half-arsed ’craft’ pils. Taste is a refreshing bittersweet with a bit of savoury cereal in the finish. Too flat for my liking. Not good. Disappointed in Adnams, who do some cracking ales along with the odd pointless one.
