Bottle, label has 2014 on it. ABV is 7,2%. Aroma has sweet caramelly malts and English hops. Sweet malty taste with biscuits and plenty of nice hops and toffee in the finish. Well balanced. Not really a barley wine but an English Strong Ale. Tasty and very drinkable. gripweed57 (2308) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2015
330 ml bottle. 2012 vintage. 9% ABV. Poured in honour of the late, great John Lennon’s 75th birthday. We miss you John! Subtle roasted malt nose hints at dark dried fruit and brown bread. Bittersweet dark malts mixed with subtle smoky and dark toasted bread notes. For a barley wine, this is a touch light in body, but enjoyable nonetheless. Quite subtle; better as it warms. A real sipper. Imagine peace through beer and music!🍻🎶 martjoobolut (4229) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 9, 2015
Bottle, 2014 vintage, Alc 7.2% (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours dark ruby-brown with light brownish head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel, burnt sugar. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, malt, nuttiness. Alcohol is well covered, carbonation is on the low side. Overall: this brew is lost somewhere between English brown ale, English strong ale and barley wine, but I like it. Marduk (7588) - Reval, ESTONIA - OCT 2, 2015
330ml bottle. Dark copper color. Tiny size of head in shape of free Ireland, stays. Sweet, caramel, faint prunes, distant cold coffee in aroma. More coffee, roasted malts, grassy hops in taste. Herbal coffee mixed with herbal hops in aftertaste. Coffee like bitterness. Dry twiggy mouthfeel. Barley wine? You must be joking? FatPhil (15964) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 22, 2015

So grainy, branny. Ditto taste. Not so sweet, more ESA than BW. Nice almondy nuttiness. Easy drinker. Dark red. Small tan head. Finish dry and bitter earthy hops. Lovely brew. More please!

Super sipper. Love the hazelnut to give it something more interesting than just the rich sweet caramelly malts. Lovely strong English ale.
Bottle 33 cl, 2014. Dark mahogany color. Arma: malt and wine, sweetness, caramel and toffee. Taste: like any port, rich malts, light sweetness of candy, caramel and toffee, hop bitter finish. Quite pleasant ale. Skinnyviking (9550) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2015
Bottle at home. Medium high fluffy quickly disappearing off-white head. Clear very dark red brown body. Powerful roasted malt dried fruit aroma with a hint of spices. Nicely balanced flavor with a subdued taste of alcohol, roasted malt caramel at the front and dried fruit and hops bitterness at the back. Notes of liquorice as well. Low carbonation, long sweet finish. Edmis (25) - LITHUANIA - AUG 7, 2015
Strong apetizing light biter smoky beer. Label says that it is best for cold winter nights klm1 (1501) - Bled/SF, - JUL 31, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2015 Pours reddish dark brown slightly haze colour with creamy big head.
Visualy low carbonation. Aroma with practically no presence of an alcohol, Prevail fruity aroma of dark fruits.
Flavor: alcohol is mild noticable. Taste is firstly very sweet, with fruity notes (hints of dried dark fruits, with notes of caramel, biscuits...), finish is surprisingly bitter.
Malt sweetness is high, hop bitterness is medium, body is soft - sticky, carbonation is low.
Very onedimensional barley wine. gegwilson (3674) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2015
Bottle from the Adnams shop in Southwold. Pours mahogany with a thin cream head. Sweet stewed fruit aroma. The taste is vinous with light spice, raisin, caramel and a slightly dry finish. Enjoyable.
