Dark fruity aroma. The taste is also full of dark fruits. Some yeast in the background in both flavour and aroma. Some warming alcohol in the finish.
330ml bottle from the Adnams Shop in Saffron Waldon. Very dark ruby. Big aroma of dried fruit, spice, cake and a little booze. All the solid, winter warmer flavours you expect, with a smooth body. Nice. nihtila (3999) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 8, 2017

[Copenhagen 2017] Draft sample @ SKAAL. Dark ruby brown amber, little tanned head. Nose is thick DE fish guts, yeast, soap BE cough syrup, Christmas syrup,… Taste is cloying liquorice, caramel, syrup but also some spices, clove that make it a bit more interesting. Not bad for what it is but a bit too thick BE, DE cough syrup for me. Sparkz (9) - - OCT 23, 2017 does not count
Pint at wetherspoons. A very nice barley wine. Strong alcohol taste but not too overpowering. Sweet, syrup with a sort of smoked/ash after taste. Very dark pint with ruby hue. Ideal winter warmer.
1 of the best strong ales I have had in a while and at £1.95 a pint at my local spoons today I might just have a few.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2017 Pours a deep ruby brown colour with a tight light tan head. Aroma is malt, ripe dark fruit, yeasty and a little smokiness. The alcohol dominates, sweet, syrupy, some malt and fruit present along with a bitterness in the finish but a little rough. AshtonMcCobb (7027) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 20, 2017
On cask at the Booking Office.
Appearance - deep amber with red chinks. Again no head as girl gives me value in beer.
Nose - toffee and edging into molasses.
Taste - burnt toffee and burnt raisins and bread.
Palate - rich and crunchy throughout. Not cloying and slipping down easily for the percentage.
Overall - challenging and good. Not sweet enough to be declared a Barley Wine. Should be an English Strong Ale. Mr_Pink_152 (5750) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2017
On tap at the Felix Holt Nuneaton. Deep ruby to brown colour with a tan head. Aroma dried fruit, chocolate and fruity. Taste light sweet. Medium to full body. mr_h (6059) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2017
Cask (7.2%), festival ale, 1/2 pint by hand-pump at West Kirk, Ayr on 14 Oct 2017: roast malty, resin aroma, deep chestnut with a good beige head and thick bubbly lacing, raisin, biscuit, fruity flavour, viscous, sweet, fruity malty finish. single.knife (5) - - SEP 29, 2017 does not count
Really good barley wine and well balanced too. Body is not too heavy for the strength and goes down really easily. Taste is leaning slightly towards the sweet side but still well balanced. You get some nice fruit, caramel, nut, biscuit and raisin flavours.
