Dark brown, nice beige foam. A lot of carbonation. Aroma of dark fruit and caramel. Thin body and watery. Also a mettalic taste. Unbalaced. Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 6, 2010
750ml bottle, courtesy redlight. Pours a dark, lightly hazy, rusty amber hue with a small, smooth head of off-white foam. Wet spotting marks the glass. The nose is that of an under attenuated, overly boozy Belgian strong ale, rife with fermented figs and stewed dark raisins. Hints of honey and caramel lender further, unnecessary sweetness, as a weak hop billing makes a futile attempt at balance. Flavors follow suit, again based in boozy raisin and fig, with perhaps some golden fruit in there as well. It’s as overly sweet as the body is overly cloying, and the alcoholic heat and moderate-plus carbonation prove to be detractors. I’m really not a fan of this one. Way too much sugar and booze going on. Palidor19 (3188) - Brandon, Florida, USA - MAY 19, 2010

Amber brown body with lasting off-white head. Sweet aroma, dried fruit, sugar and some light spices. Taste is not a lot different to the aroma, starts to get a little heavy towards the end though didn’t really pick up on the alcohol.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Brown coloured beer with large rocky brownish head. Fruited hoppy bit malty aroma. Full sparkling and creamy palate. Finish is sweet spicy bitter. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUL 25, 2012
Poured from 330 ml bottle.
Clear, sparkling, orange-red brown with an enormous head if cream-colored, creamy foam that settles slowly to leave very nice lacing.
Aroma of dark bread malt, yeast, toffee, honey, grape, plum and raisin.
Taste of sweet dark malt, molasses, toffee, prunes, red wine grapes, tropical fruit and a touch of clove. Sweet, fruity and malty, but with enough complexity to keep your interest.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation.

Brown body, offwhite head. Aroma has dark malts, fruits, some chocolate bit alcohol. Flavour has lightly roasted malt, dark fruits and bag of copper coins. Bart (2938) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUN 21, 2008
Darker brown coloured beer with rather little carbonation and a small off-white head. Not much aroma, some light malty touches. Full palate, with some clear sprankling. Finish is light bitter, malty with some sweeter touches near the end. Rather short ending. Not bad, but nothing special either. Bosbouw (2919) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - FEB 3, 2017
Chocolade bruine kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig. Smaakt zoetig. Zoetig bier.
