-Villanueva standing alone
-Vets as protected class... presumably b/c they've fought and died for freedom and American ideals
-but what does it say that benefactor values their gift more than the beneficiary?
-we eschew every institutions as soon as they're no longer convenient to us. There's no grievance too small to tear the whole thing down
-then we wonder why we're divided
-someone asked me what is the end game? Might be easy to say there is none. Or that's it's just petulance lashes out. But that misses the underlying problem.
-the Individual is sovereign. If it was more convenient to us--if national sponsors would allow it--every person in the stands would have their own personal anthem... and we'd sing them all.
-the NFL institution and it manifests itself in the shield. Players, coaches, fans accept it because it suits their interests (players don't wear Blm wristbands b/c they'd be fine for violating uniform conduct policy)
-but as a fan, does this institution still suit our purposes? Does it provide an escape? Does it entertain? NFL and football have always been a unique American tradition... unifies us under the banner of certain Universal ideals... teamWork, hard work, etc. even American ones... specialization, ruggedness. certain institutions shouldn't be eschewed so easily. They're worth subordinating our individual interests for the greater good. But the NFL is not one of them (it's more peripheral... the expression of deeper ideas) So I will not watch.

Draft at Copperwood Tavern in Shirlington, VA.
Hazy, bright orange body with a quarter inch of white head. Huge tropical fruit aroma. Lots of sweetness in the scent. Tangy, juicy, dank, residual sweetness. Medium body with lingering fruit and light alcohol warmth. Pretty good.

Heavy and sweet, big lemon-orange notes mixed with bubblegum, caramel, and pine. Malts come across too strong, though, adding a deep sugary base that brings out the resinous bitterness more than a deep, fruity hoppiness. Thick, spiky texture, but the alcohol remains mostly hidden. Solid dank nose with slight citrus and pine. Okay. sonnycheeba (6360) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 18, 2017
Bottle shared by beerandblues2. Pours hazy orange. Aroma and flavor are big juicy citrus and tropical fruit, bready malt, wheat, moderate bitterness, and soft, boozy finish. Medium body. BeerandBlues2 (13821) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 17, 2017
Bottle at home. Pours cloudy orange with a large, frothy and bubbly white head, long retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy citrus, tropical fruit and herbal hops with medium cracker and biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy citrus, tropical fruit and pine hops and bitterness with medium cracker and biscuit malt with a dry finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. MWHophead (1) - Utica, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2017 does not count
This beer was absolutely delicious. A bit like PseudoSueDDH- it is hazy with a nice head between 1-2 fingers of thick foam. Not overly carbonated. Mine came from Tavour in a bottle. I drank it from a tulip glass.
The hop flavors are present and aromatic. Citrus, tropical notes in both smell and taste. This beer is quite a bit more bitter than PseudoSueDDH so that evens out the juicy impression and helps this one straddle the fence between total NEIPA and solid DIPA. I am all about this beer and this brewery. We are reviewing it shortly on our blog if you’d like to know more. hophead.pro

Lots of pine and some booze. Pours hazy golden with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. A little too booze heavy like your bag is too full of duty free airport liquor. Bottle.
