Black William Stout (5% ABV.) is a rich black colour with a creamy head. Powered by Target hops, it is in the middle of the bitterness scale and contains a very high proportion of chocolate malt that contributes to the dark chocolate aroma and roasted flavours.

Holmen2 (4303) - NORWAY - AUG 23, 2015
Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 23.08.15. Alomst black. Small head. Slightly sour aroma and taste of black malt and dark caramel.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tastig, thanks to abemorsten. Black colour, low beige head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of liquorice, coffee and chocolate. Acidic fruity and roasty flavour, maybe over the top.

gunnar (9923) - Sandnes, NORWAY - AUG 23, 2015
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours pitch black with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate, some tarish notes and dark red fruits. Taste is more of the same with defined plums and chocolate with a light sour roasted note. Good one.

DIBBLE (167) - Worthing, West Sussex, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2015
Big aroma of roast malt and cocoa. Minimal to nonexistent tan head over dark reddish brown beer. Full balanced flavour. Not overly complex but delivers a huge hit of roast maltiness with an earthy, leathery yet sweet, cocoa finish.

Mr_Pink_152 (5768) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2015
UPDATED: APR 3, 2015 500ml bottle from favourite beer, Cheltenham. Dark almost black colour with a white head. Aroma is mild not strong with roasted malt and fruit. Taste is a bittersweet balance

Theydon_Bois (21482) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2012
Bottle at JF’s (from Hogsback shop) 28/10/12. Mid black with a thin tan head that soon clears to the edge fo the glass. Big roast malt nose, coffee, barley, backnote of hops. Tastes of roast malts, liqourice, a little chocolate. Medium bodied, slightly spritzy carbonation, a little too much for me.
