3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nearly clear copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy, soapy beige head. Aroma is definitely recognizeable as oak smoke, some light caramel, tobacco (not smoke), old capsite, wet grass, spice and a bunch more awesome smoke. Flavor is sweet and smoky up front, some caramel and malt sweetness, toffee and bready notes, a decent dose of planty and spicy hops and some grilled fruit and bread to the finish. Medium body with a creamy, oily feel throughout and an all around light to moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff, I really need to buy more Schlenkerla beer for the cold months.
500ml brown bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is clear amber with a small foamy khaki head that settled quickly. Aroma of smoked and cured charkuteries, vanilla, muscovado, wooden notes, toffee, dried apricots and a hint of rye-sourdough bread. Taste is medium-heavy sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Overall a great smoked beer. Jorn69 (3370) - Ängelholm, SWEDEN - DEC 1, 2017
@ Havregatan 20171201. Bottle (500 ml) from Systembolaget. Malty and smokey, caramely, some bacon, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter, malty and smokey. jamestulloch (4367) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 27, 2017
Bottle from Cork & Cask. Clear ruby/amber body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cigar, toffee and smoked sausage. Flavour of chestnuts, wood and ham. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A meal in a glass. I always find the first sip quite jarring but after that it goes down very smoothly. kaos666 (11) - Lund, SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2017

Campfire smoke with elements of lether and caramel. Sweet malty taste with the sweetness well rounded of by the smoke.
