SCHIENKE (9) - Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2013
Dark amber body. Strong smoky aroma. The aroma is very similar to the taste. If you are in the mood for a great rauchbier this is a must try. I have had quite a few rauchbiers from various microbreweries, but this one is probably my favorite.

Bottle. Dark ruby to brown, very clear with medium but very solid beige head and good lacing.Strong smoked aromas with significant notes of bacon, some wood and roasted malts. Light to medium body, pretty dry with strong smoked flavors in taste. Also, a bit of caramel and something spicy, like pepper. A bit sour finish and extremely drinkable.

0,5l bottle from Alko. Pours dark brown color with medium head. Aroma of smoke, sweetness, maltness, sugar. Taste is like smoked ham, some sweetness, ash and some bitterness. Balanced. Mediumish body. Dry aftertaste. Very well made smoked beer, smoke is the centre for this one, and the sweet maltiness balances it well.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 Pours very dark reddish brown with a thick white head. Obviously has a strong Smokey taste, but also a bit sweet and malty. After drinking it for a while it has more of a coffee stout like taste. This is one of my all time favorite ales.

Tap at Bud. Deep ruby brown, would be clear except for colour. Creamy beige head, great lacing. Wonderful smoked bacon and caramel aroma. Flavour of caramel malt with sweetness dried by smoked meats. Smooth feel, light and easy carried by light fizz, nice lingering bitterness and smoke, tickles the roof of my mouth like spiced food. The easiest smoked beer to down, dry and refreshing. Excellent.

3.5
Concealer (1267) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2017
Bottle. Clear brown with a frothy, beige head that lasts and laces. Aromas of smoke, wood, roasted malt, light caramel, bacon, and pepper. Flavor is smoke, roasted malt, bacon, light wood, caramel, pepper, and biscuit. Medium bodied, smooth with moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Lingering smoke.
