500 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a goblet glass. Light amber, pretty hazy, with an average, creamy yellow-ish head. Powerful aroma, notes of grass, pepper, bacon chips, BBQ meat, and simply campfire smoke. Not as one dimensional taste wise: pretty nice malty sweetness, rye chunkiness, and quite a fruity edge. The smoked component follow through, but in a mild, non dominant way. Bready and slightly meaty aftertaste, lovely dry finish.. Average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. I can see this one as a great introduction to smoked beer. Great.
Brown color, tan long stay foam, hazy. Very nice and strong smoke aroma. Slightly sour in taste, some sweetness, decent body. Very drinkable. Beers0mniac (135) - Joensuu, FINLAND - JUN 24, 2017
Murky brown with big frothy white head which stays long. Nice aroma of smoke combined with bananas. Taste follows the aroma, finishes with smoke and wheat beer yeast. Very nice overall Svarun (147) - - JUN 23, 2017
Cloudy brown coloured. Aroma is dominant smoke and barbecue with some typical weizen-like banana still very noticabe. Taste is... grilled tuna stakes? Very odd but still delicious! Full body, medium carbonation, low bitterness. A bit weaker than AS Marzen but it still delivers! hauxe (712) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUN 14, 2017
Pours murky brown with a frothy white head. Aroma is quite smokey, but the more traditional Weizen aromas form an undertone with both bready & banana hints. Taste is banana sweet with lots of smoke, a bit of salami, but its the smoked character that sets the tone, and the faint bitterness comes off with a charred note. In the end it’s more of a smoked beer than Weizen. Body is medium to full with average carbonation. A pleasant diversion, with the same intense smoked flavors that I’ve come to expect from this brewery. willisread (3293) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Bottle from Liquor Barn shared. Pours a deep brown with a small head that dissipates quickly. Huge cured ham with some flaming banana as it warms up. Light mouthfeel but lots of rich honey ham and smoked sausage. Touch of char. Finish leaves a lingering lightly charred honey, smoked sausage note. Not my favorite from Schlenkerla...

Bottle thanks to Yaniv! Hazy deep brown with a small head. Really robust smoky nose. Meaty smoke. Caramel and soft wheat. Sweet and quite earthy. Plenty of smoke. Full body, bright carb. Nice. Steasy66 (1155) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Super hazy so it must be good. Aroma is super smoky. Sweet and smoky. Not my thing. thomashall (984) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle shared by Yanif, thanks! Murky light brown pour. Smoked meat aroma, same as all their beers. Taste follows, this is so well done! BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle shared by yjb - thanks! Murky orange pour with a small head. Big smokey meat all over this. Awesome. Bacchus66 (196) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 8, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear dark brown with a full light tan head. Nice smoky aromas, bacon, maple, malt. Dry smoked flavors, wheat, round creamy texture. Lingering smoky finish. Well balanced, delicious. More smoke character than the Helles, but less than the straight Rauchbier.
