(EN) This beer is a collaboration between Ægir Brewery and Mackmyra Swedish whiskey, the first whiskey distillery in Sweden. Mackmyra is innovative in a traditional industry and only use Swedish ingredients. Thirty whiskey from Mackmyra was sent to Ægir and filled with Scotch Ale. Instantly i get a nose of scotch whisky. Vanilla, dark fruits, brown sugar, oak and a slight malty note. On the palate it is smooth with flavors of chocolate, vanilla, oak with a slight boozy note with a finish with chocolate and liqorice.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2015 Bottle shared by Anki. Thanks! Murky brown/ruby red with a small white head. Sweet bourbon/whiskey, light smoke and sweet malty aroma. Taste is malty sweet with whiskey, smoke and well balanced bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, round mouth feel.
Could do well with a bigger body, other than that, quite good!

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Small tan head. Dark brown body with tiny sediments. Aroma is pretty sweet. Plum, toffee and leather. The whiskey notes are present. First and foremost sweet on the tongue. Dry and slightly creamy.

Pours dark brown, with a faint beige head that doesn’t last. Aromas are whisky, oak and peat, and that’s about it. Taste is sticky sweet. Mouthfeel is oily, and the beer almost flat. Absolutely rubbish, tastes like syrupy whisky, and not like beer with "a hint of whisky". This isn’t a beer for those who want a hint of whisky, it’s for those who wish they could drink a whole pint of it in one sitting.
