Norwegian: Dette er en karakteristisk IPA frå den amerikanske vestkyststilen. Kjenneteikn ved dette ølet er ein fengjande humlearoma og ein solid bitterheit. IPA går godt med litt robust mat, men kan også nytast åleine.

English: This is an IPA in the style known from the American west coast.

Can from the Adnams shop, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Pours slightly hazy amber colour with an average sized but short lasting white head. Aroma of hop, citrus, baked apple, tropical fruits, grass and touch of cinnamon and cherry. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness, with just a touch of citrus sour. Toward medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is fruity with increasing bitterness.

Can from Great Barr Co-Op (in terms of North Birmingham, this is a hit beer location - in that it stocks over 20 beers, albeit pedestrian ones for the most part). This beer was a pleasant surprise, orangey, tart and punchy. Pours beautifully - mainly due to the excellent can - one of those cool ones. Nice beer.

Best before 05/18, I have taken this bottle at Amstein, St-Légier, I drank it yesterday, coming back from my work, at home, Lausanne. In my point of view, it is a correct IPA, a standard beer, developping tasteful aromas of hop, rather a dry one, citrus with a final note of pine, and a little sweet, malt hidden by the hop, well balanced. The color is copper, average carbonation, thin and white foam, good.

Aesthetically cloudy amber and pours with a creamy medium head. It has a bready but floral aroma that escapes freely. Medium to heavy bitter hops with more malty undertones than you would expect in an IPA. A long lasting soft, creamy and slight sticky finish.

Please Aegir, save me from all the bland local lagers sampled during this Caribbean cruise. Let’s see how the Norwegians do an IPA. Bought onboard in the best bar from the best bartender, it is poured from a can into a tall Pilsner style glass. Beneath the plentiful and lasting white head is a dense gold going to orange body. The nose gives me orange peel and freshly cut grass. On to a drink, strongly hoppy, grapefruit and just a bit of sweetness, all wrapped by a long-missed bitterness. Maybe not the best IPA I have ever had but one of the most welcome.
