COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: This is an IPA in the style known from the American west coast.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Malty, bitter and somewhat hoppy from start to finish. Too malty and bitter for my taste.

Medium body, siroopachtig mondgevoel, vol genoeg, voldoende koolzuur.  Afdronk is bitter/ grassig en iets droog.... daarna vrij lang fruitig. Prima West Coast IPA!

Can from Beers of Europe. Golden colour with moderate head. Fairly well hopped with resin, citrus, pine and sweet malt. Fairly complex and enjoyable beer.

Pours clear deep golden/amber, with a frothy white head and a lot of lacing. Aroma is caramel, resin, citrus and tropical fruits. Tastes medium bitter, well balanced, with caramel malts, biscuit, resin, citrus peel, orange flesh and tropical fruits. Quite light bodied, crisp, soft carbonation, bitter finish. This is a good IPA!

330 ml can with 360 End bought at YATA in YOHO Mall, Yuen Long.

Looks: Clearamber honeyOne-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades ion 15 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with notable slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with honey, citrus, grapefruit, floral, sugar, spices, strong pine, strong resins, biscuits, lemon and strong grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with grapefruits, caramel, floral, strong molasses, spices, pine, strong resins, earth, dry biscuits, strong lemon, lime and strong bitter grassy hops.

Body: Medium body. Dry, slick and oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: Excellent Ale maltyness in a pretty thick and slick background. Straight-up piney oozy hops filled the tongue, with matching grapefruits and caramel to compliment. Flowery with pretty strong sweetness, spicy earthy biscuity with strong lemon and lime to round. Rich and tasty!

Hoppiness: Honey, citrus, grapefruit, floral, spices, strong pine, strong resins, lemon and strong grass in nose. Grapefruits, floral, spices, pine, strong resins, earth, strong lemon, lime and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, close to high-astringent sweet-bitter malty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Oozy limey and strong bitter to mouth.

Comments: My first beer from this brewery and what an impressive start it was - Good looks, rich IIPA-like maltyness, and dominating oozy piney hop aroma and taste. Solid as a rock and will buy again!

P.S. Thanks for the Geddy Lee's interview for my #2112 rating!
