Bottle at home. Poured a dark opaque, fairly solid brown head. Aromas are malts, toast, and two good candy notes ("Kamfer" and "Kongen av Danmark"). Tastes dry and fairly sweet, easy on the bitterness. Lovely this one tfredvik (2095) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 2, 2015
I often find stouts without a leading "Imperial" a bit boring, so this one has been waiting untouched in my cellar for 1.5 years. I’m not sure if such a short period can be regarded as ageing, but the time spent down there has definitely not harmed the ale at all. It’s a black-bodied beer with a light-brown head that is a bit smaller than average. Dry and strong aroma of chocolate, dark caramel, coffee, faint fruits and hints of ash. Strong and surprisingly complex flavour of chocolate, coffee, ash, fruits and dark berries. Light to moderate sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate bitter finish. The label claims that the beer is light-bodied, but I’d say it’s fuller than that. It’s dry and smooth with a soft carbonation. A perfect dry stout!Florya (2027) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 20, 2015

>> Pours clear sepia dark brown with medium, quickly fading gray beige foam. Rings of lacing. Nose is raisin, smoke, savory, marmite, smoked cherry, fresh mulch. Mouthfeel is light, dusty, dry. Flavors are ash, smoked wood, carbon, cocoa powder, soil. I like the smoked character and no off flavors. Thinner body expected.

(from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Pretty much black colour, mediumsized brown head, that leaves lace. Aroma is nutty, mild roasted malts, some slight liquorice, a bit wooden and also some strange old coffee like sour-/acidicness to it. Flavour is roasted malts, old coffee, some slight vegetably, ashy and also quite sweet overall. Although not a very typical dry stout, this one takes the elements to a slight extreme, but is still balanced and nice to drink. This is one beer I would enjoy to some "drier" meaty foods. Lamb or reindeer comes to mind first. Why not even make the marinade based on this beer... (in times Nögne Ö Imperial Stout was pretty much perfect to cook a huge piece of elk meat in, before letting it cool down a bit sucking in some fluids and then putting it into the oven for a good amount of time). I like!
Taste of coffee, nuts and malt. Short lived head, medium carbonation. Mild and very drinkable beer, perfect for a rainy day. TyggaBrown (438) - NORWAY - SEP 22, 2014
Well balanced, easy drinkable, and well suited for a cold, rainy evening. Perfect with tasty food, and lots of roasted, nutty and other nice flavors and aromas. RickFifty (1461) - Fredrikstad, NORWAY - SEP 13, 2014

Almost black with a small tan head. On the sweet side with roasted malt, chocolate and some toffee. The finish was dry. A descent one.
