Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Best before 03.01.18. Served in a large snifter. Dark brown colour. A bit below medium amount of white to slightly tan head, which disappears rather quickly. Alcohol, red fruit, plum/prune and turkey nose. Thick body. A bit oily. Low to medium carbonation. A bit dry ending. Warming, and, in my opinion too much, alcohol. Bread, prune, turkey, chocolate, some apple and vanilla, butterscotch and caramel, toasted bread and leaf flavour. Quite high bitteress. Very good! Bottle at the brewery, Flåm, 25/10/14. Thick beige-collared ink. Aroma Jagermeister and coke; buttered burnt wood, mint and evergreen. Mellow oily Humbug taste with suggestions of dark chocolate, Jaffa cake, mint and orange, cinder toffee dunked in milky mocha. Thin body at the strength. Top end troll-beater but not their best.

Bottle: Thanks Tony_gorilla: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Black beer. Sticky beige light brown head.
Aromas of prunes, mocha and some hints of coffee, darker flowers, some roast and sweets like marzipan/mocha.
Flavour is a very well balanced mix of prunes, mocha, bitters, some roast, light spice, dried leaves, light malty tone, light sherry, some other dark fruits and flowers, light wood ish tint and some marzipan and bandage.
Aftertaste is hay with bitters, prunes, malts and some toast.
Low carbo, soft creamy close to silky mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and a light oily to light sticky texture. Very nice stuff!

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass dark black, nice head. Awesome malty-earthy aroma. Starts very srrong, intense malty, earthy, more and more stouty, notes of liquorice. Finish well balanced, warming-malty. Great! thomat (3828) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2014

Starting off with one of my dear favorites. Gorgeous choclit taste, and when served at right temp a close to "complete" beer. brnandersen (3870) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 26, 2014
50 cl. bottle poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with roasted malts, liquorice, light coffee and alcohol, dark chocolate and a rich, lactic sweetness. Taste is sweet and roasted. Full body with an oily feel and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted, filling and sweet with chocolate malts and liquorice. Nice, rich Porter. banii (240) - Sola, NORWAY - APR 24, 2014
Bottles from Vinmonopolet. Heavy but silky smooth. Low carbonation, low bitternes. Reminds me off Hoppin Frog Silk Porter, only thicker viscosity.
