Smells of morning coffee and dark sweet chocolate. Looks pitch black and tempting with a small, cream head. Taste is sweet, but with enough bitterness to balance it. Burnt sugar and the taste of mild coffee is very pleasant and leaves me longing for another sip. The perfect beer infront of the fire place on valentines day:) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dec. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle at Birra+, Rome. It poured a pitch black body with a small brown head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee, caramel, raisins and some licorice. A bit peaty as well. Lightly sweet flavor, balanced with moderate bitterness, malty with lots of coffee, chocolate, dried fruits and peat to leather smoked notes. Quite complex, I should've elaborated this better but it was a rough day on my RB duty. Full bodied with round and smooth mouthfeel. Long finish followed the flavor with earthy and smoked notes besides pleasant roasted malty ones. No remarks on alcohol presence, but I remember it was warming. A pleasant, well crafted imperial porter.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2017 Понравилось. Вкус терпкий, выдержанным, но вот цена конечно расстроила 500 р за 0,5...

Spisane z notatek, wypite na działce, butelka 330ml. Barwa brązowa, ciemna, ładna piana koloru orzechowego.Aromat czekolada z orzechami. W smaku słodkie, kremowe bardzo łagodne.Alkohol trochę wyczuwalny, bardzo dobre piwo.

330mL bottle from Bucketboys. BB 08/16? Deep near-black body, opaque, holds a ring of tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, meaty roast, dark toffee & earthy hop. Carbonation on the low side which works well, providing a very smooth, slick ride & deep richness to the palate. Flavours of dark chocolate, sweet black coffee, brown sugar, cookie, vinous dark fruits - develops as it warms, rather nicely really. Finishes on the sweeter side, just enough bitterness to balance. Very good overall - big without being brash or unapproachable.

Tap. Pitch black ale with moderate capuccino head. Aroma: molasses, caramel, dried fruit, minor coffee. Full body. Medium sweet bombastic malts on taste. Big molasses, caramel malts, chocolate, prune. Light bitterness along. Perfect porter.

Old note. The aroma has roast, coffee. Dark coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is light-moderate bitter and has roast, coffee, laurel, some fruity tones. Okay.

Nice, typical porter flavours. Toffee, choc, coffee. Maybe a bit of spice. Problem is this beer is just a bit too sweet...even for the ABV

PINT tasting. Clear dark red brown, tanned foam head. Chocolate in aroma, some vanilla notes. Again chocolate tones in taste. A very nice warm beer, topper of the evening. (Arnhem 201707)

From a 330ml bottle on 18/7/2017. Pours dark brown with little in the way of head. The nose features light chocolate, caramel and cola. It’s very sweet flavour wise - more chocolate and caramel, with a distinct sweet meatiness, followed by a very mild roasty bitterness. The texture is a bit syrupy and the carbonation soft. A very pleasant sweet sipper.
