3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught 4oz sample from Churchkey in DC. Slightly reddish brown but nearly black pour. Darker beige head and fair lacing. Nose shows toast, roasty malt, chocolate, brown sugar and just a bit of dark fruit. Tastes similar. Lighter body.
Beer tasting at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark plum with almost no foam. Aroma is roasted, somehow fruity and licorice. Body is dense and sticky, with limited tickling carbonation. Taste is sweet and roasted, with some spicing going up your nose. Finish is long and toasted. bartlebier (4216) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 16, 2018
33cl bb08/2026, finale at DecTasting, merci LupuLust. - - Kort: likeable minimalist ImpPorter with earthy berry notes of cocoa, coffee and smoked ash notes on the clean palate of a Baltic Porter - took this for a lean Polish Baltic Porter. Accomplished balance between all elements, intensity of roast, terroir earthiness and only an inkling of heat in the throat. andrepintado (3754) - Porto, PORTUGAL - JAN 15, 2018

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, tobacco, sugar, chocolate, some coffee, charcoal, syrup, liquorice, candied figs, touch of molasses. Flavour is quite sweet with an above moderate bitter finish. Body is above medium. Quite sweet and a bit syrupy, could be more full, then the chocolate kicks in. Nice! hrabren (1953) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 15, 2017

Dec. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle at Birra+, Rome. It poured a pitch black body with a small brown head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee, caramel, raisins and some licorice. A bit peaty as well. Lightly sweet flavor, balanced with moderate bitterness, malty with lots of coffee, chocolate, dried fruits and peat to leather smoked notes. Quite complex, I should've elaborated this better but it was a rough day on my RB duty. Full bodied with round and smooth mouthfeel. Long finish followed the flavor with earthy and smoked notes besides pleasant roasted malty ones. No remarks on alcohol presence, but I remember it was warming. A pleasant, well crafted imperial porter. al8888 (4) - - SEP 9, 2017 does not count

330mL bottle from Bucketboys. BB 08/16?
Deep near-black body, opaque, holds a ring of tan head.
Aromas of dark chocolate, meaty roast, dark toffee & earthy hop.
Carbonation on the low side which works well, providing a very smooth, slick ride & deep richness to the palate.
Flavours of dark chocolate, sweet black coffee, brown sugar, cookie, vinous dark fruits - develops as it warms, rather nicely really. Finishes on the sweeter side, just enough bitterness to balance.
Very good overall - big without being brash or unapproachable. vinivini (3147) - Gomel, BELARUS - AUG 19, 2017
Tap. Pitch black ale with moderate capuccino head. Aroma: molasses, caramel, dried fruit, minor coffee. Full body. Medium sweet bombastic malts on taste. Big molasses, caramel malts, chocolate, prune. Light bitterness along. Perfect porter.
