Norwegian: Rundt og balansert, mørkt raudt øl med eit preg av nøtter, sjokolade og toffee. Smaken kjem fra seks ulike malttyper, og ølet er overraskande lett å drikke. Passer bra til grillmat og oster.

English: Mellow and balanced, dark red beer with a character of nuts, chocolate and toffee. The taste comes from six different kinds of malt, and the beer is surprisingly easy to drink. Goes well with barbeque and cheeses.

330ml can from Spar, Beitostolen. Pours a hazy chestnut brown, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt with hints of cocoa. Smooth caramelised malts on the palate with some nutty chocolate notes. Lightly bitter. Very nice.

At the brewpub in Flåm. Aroma is nuts, malt. Appearance is light cloudy brown with a light brown-ish. Taste is bitter and light sour. Watery, soft to medium carbonation. Very thin. Ok.

Can from Cogo, drunk 8/5/16.
Small, off-white head tops a peachy-orange, not dark amber, body with light carbonation, high clarity and moderate retention.
This one seems to be a lighter shade of amber ale, and follows in both aroma and flavor of being less overly malty. Still plentiful caramel malt (no heavy iced tea and low on the crystal malt ’hardness’. Ample thought is given to the base malt and thus it turns out quite comforting on the palate, with plentiful fruity esters, light, peppery hops, good attenuation and exquisite cleanliness, as Aegir has been now through about 7 beers.
The carbonation is soft, natural and engaging without being overly fizzy. Certainly on the maltier side, flavorwise, but it’s not too sweet. There is some rich cereal and caramel character lingering on the finish with is gently bittered to provide a good balance. Some breadiness builds up, lightly on the palate, with lots of fruitiness from the yeast. Nice stuff.

Bottle, pours hazy with unstble white head. Not intense caramel aroma. Light bitterness, caramel taste with a hint of roasted malts. Light body, caramelish finish.

Keg @ North Bar, Leeds. Clouded lighter brown coloured. Has a very drinkable texture with a light, sweetened hop-malt character.

Very nice amber. Pours darker than most ambers. Lovely malt flavors. The best Amber I've had in some time, but I'm partial towards Belgian style beers.

A nice hoppy ale with a good complex flavour. Enjoyable with BBQ food at a cool place on meat street in Oslo. Out of a bottle. Nice head, excellent flavour, good pour. A good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a hazy amber with a small, off white head. Aroma has lots of sweet caramel malts, toasted malts, light toffee, but just tons of malts, very subtle earthy hops. Taste is sweet, toasted, caramel, light nutty dryness, but finish is rather oily and with a light bitterness. Somewhat creamy texture and an average carbonation.
