COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

50 cl bottle @ lusikka, BBE 04.01.2015
Aroma has sweet malt, resiny notes, fruits and some vanilla. Flavour is sweet with caramel, resiny malt, some fruity notes and nettles. Too malty and sweet. Quite American for a Norwegian beer.

lusikka (7757) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 1, 2013
500 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy orange amber colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops, grapefruit, caramel and resin. Flavour of sweet caramel malts, strong floral hops, resin, grapefruit and tangy citrusy notes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a strong, floral, grapefruity finish with caramel notes. Not as fresh as I hoped for. Too much resiny notes as well and lacks those hoppy kicks that you crave for. Still good, though.

Pours dark orange with a smooth bubbly head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramels, hints of fruity hops and resin. Taste is sweetish, hoppy and malty with notes of resin, caramel and toffee. Finish is malty, hoppy and slightly fruity with some caramel and toffee notes. Okay, quite malty DIPA.

50cl bottle from Alko Arkadia. BBE 04/01/15. Hazy amber, thick white head. Aroma is slightly vinous, bready malty and tropical fruitiness. Flavor has piney hops, grass, malt and alcohol. Ok balance, but alcohol is coming through too much.

mjs (6728) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 7, 2013
(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 04.01.15, from Alko Arkadia, 20130507) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized, long lasting and almost white. Aroma had exotic fruits, peach and malts. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malts and btterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. Alcohol was a bit too strongly present but otherwise pretty tasty double IPA:

ElDesmadre (3625) - Mikołów, POLAND - APR 10, 2013
UPDATED: APR 21, 2013 Bottle traded with Cunningham. Tropical hops juice in abundance. Mango, ripe pineapple and grapefruit. If not for some shy piney hints, one could fathom the Nordic tree Yggdrasil the name of the beer alludes to, was in reality a palm tree in the tropics. Thick, oily, alcoholic and warming mouthfeel. Full body with some residual sugars in the flavour, otherwise this beer is naught but hops flavour-wise. The grapefruity bitterness is not too strong but this is just fine the way it is. What a massively tropical hop bomb! Great!

Lys gyllen IPA som smaker bra av citrusfrukter. Bra carbonering og frisk bitter ettersmak.
