Cloudy brown with a small, off-white head.
Cinnamon, clove, toffee aroma.
Taste is sweet, dusty, holiday spices.....caramel malt, light fruit.
Not bad...but the spices seem a bit forced. Florya (2026) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 12, 2015

Bought at a Vinmonopolet near Tiger Square, Oslo. Pours a dark ruby colour with a finger of puffy tan head. The aroma is fruity with toffee malts. Mellow and smooth in the profile with light nutty and caramel notes. A bit sweet with apple and raisin fruit notes. The finish is mellow and medium bodied with light bitterness and a lingering spiced note. radagast83 (8193) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 18, 2014
Draft at Churchkey as Julebrygg. Poured an amber color with a small tan head. Aroma was some chocolate cocoa notes, toffee. Flavor was light caramel notes, some chocolate. I think we pronounced this correctly.... actually not awful. spices, sweet malts. Travlr (25547) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Draft at Churchkey as Julebrygg, which arguably sounds better than Skumring. Clear deep amber brown color. Aroma of chocolate covered caramel candy. Taste is smooth chocolate, toffee, light spice. Decent.

Bottle (I think) at the brewery, Flåm, 25/10/14. Rocky loose cappuccino head on a deep ruby ruby body. Aroma strangely fruity with green apple, unripe berries, maybe dragon fruit. Mellow plum and stone fruit taste with sneaking almond, cola and berries dusted with cocoa. Lacks a bit of thickness, heft and sweetness for a dubbel maybe. But decent. dnicolaescu (2642) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - NOV 28, 2014
BOTTLE 50 CL from Cunnigham.
It is lacking in dried fruit and spicy „Belgian” yeast department. What’s left, is a quite a hefty malt and spicy bitter hops. This puts it more into the dunkler bock territory, rather than a Belgian dubbel. Though, a good dunkler bock. nudiebear (358) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2014
Bottle at home. Brown with lively head, good carbonation. Aroma of thin caramel and brown sugar, tastes airy and palatable. Not sharp in any direction, balanced. Would not overpower standard beer foods. Fairly enjoyable. SperkeleForce (791) - FINLAND - JUN 19, 2014
