COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A rare complaint from myself but the alcoholic bite of this one is not so pleasant. More of a paint thinner variety than pleasantly boozy. Bouquet is beaut - bread, toffee, raisins. Not enough of that comes out in the flavor. To it’s credit not as sickeningly sweet as many BWs.

SlackerMads (3433) - DENMARK - APR 24, 2017
Bottle. Clear red amber with a small beige head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Intense nose with alcohol, sugar, flowers, hay, golden bread. The flavour has alcohol, grain, wood, flowers, light bread. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium to heavy sweet and bitter, heavy alcoholic. Sharp alcoholic finish. Tastes ok, just way too alcoholic which makes it unpleasant.

Brewhemia (320) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 22, 2017
Deep amber color with off white head. Strong aroma of dried fruit, bread and lots of alcohol. The taste is very rich and very sweet and with some acidity to it and medium to strong bitterness and strong bitterness in the finish. The palate is lightly astringet and has a metallic sensation too it. Very full bodied. Has nice qualities but is not completely in balance in my opinion.

Finally a Barley Wine that balances sweetness, dried fruit, maltyness and warming alcohol. Complex and never boring. Great stuff.
