COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

TET (3209) - Kaarina, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2016
BBE 03.07.24, thus fresh. A reddish, dark brown beer, a head is very small and beige. Aroma is intensive, enjoyable and quite sweet. Apricot marmelade, dry cake, toffee, raisins, and prunes. Taste has dry cake and richness of malts, toffee, herbs, also fresh fruits and wood, nice balancing bitterness and totally the sweetness isn’t so strong. Full bodied, low carbonation, not heavy and enjoyable, great. Sweet type of Barley Wine, but still the balance is there. Enough of complexicity. Delicious beer.

Red-brown color, beige head. Prunes nose, caramel malt, light spicy, hint of alcohol. Sweet taste, dried fruit, rich malty, caramel, hint of coffee, alcohol is well hidden and barely discernible. Full body, soft carbonation, oily texture.

Dark amber color. Good aromas and tastes like bread, malt, dry fruit, but a little boring. Full body, smooth texture, but a little too sweet and heavy to drink. Nice still.

(4) Below average. That is not to say that this beer is better. But at the tasting it was not a good beer. - Something was off. - Maybe I was - but then again. Whatever.

4.5
SvanteL (644) - SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2015
