COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered
Bright, yellow-golden with a firm, dense head. Natural carbonation and a carefully balanced aroma of fresh bread, banana spice, citrus and hints of vanilla.
A smooth taste. Malty, nutty softness followed by the roundess of tropical fruit and then a dry, light bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth, round mouth-feel. A bright, refreshing finish. the final note on swirling has stronger notes of banana, yeasty spice and a hoppy aroma.

puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 9, 2009
Bottled. This beer was bought (along with a bunch of others) for a slew of non-beer geek guests, which turned out to be a mistake. A rather heavy and alcoholic beer that really highlights the difficulty in brewing in the Belgian style while retaining a decent level of drinkability. Yeasty, bubblegum, cinnamon and peanut notes are present, with a thick, distilled alcohol finish. Not the best of the style, and not a very good beer for new drinkers it turns out.

jerohen (2359) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - AUG 7, 2009
Bottled. Clear golden coloured, small white head. Some spices and fruit in aroma. Malty flavour, little hops, some alcohol. Pretty boring industrial Belgian ale.

ha1ag (952) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 7, 2009
Bottled from supermarket in Stein. Color is dark golden, almost orange. Solid thick head. Nose smells like an orchard, with yeast. Aroma is very short-lived, fruity yeasty. Alcohol is warming in the middle. Ends with characteristic bitterness. Nice.

Affligem makes great beer and so is this one. Aroma is beautiful and the taste is crisp with some fruit esters. Little too much aftertaste of alcohol, but the bitterness is indeed low.

Lemon cream and white grape aroma. Slightly hazy yellow, tall white head. Thin, flat mouthfeel. Lemon and coriander notes, dry. Grass finish.

Jsawyer (297) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Draught. Poured a 3/4 inch foamy white head atop a pale amber-gold turbid body. Aroma was honey and nectar, slightly acetic, and orangey bordering on sour. Flavor was honey and spicey orange, very lightly rooty, undertones of banana and clove, and spicy-citric hops. Palate had a creamy carbonation. Lovely ale.

Draft at Wilde in Chicago. Pours reddish golden color with medium head. Light body, higher carbonation than other blondes I’ve had. Still goes down easy, and the spice, fruit, bread, and honey hide the alcohol. Not a bad aftertaste.

Listigovers (1343) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2009
Pours an unclear golden colour with a large head. Aroma is mostly yeast, with hints of spices. Very creamy. Flavour is slightly lacking in intensity, mild yeasty aftertaste, quite similar to Leffe but with less of a punch of flavour and a nicer mouthfeel.

Been awhile...

Poured out a nice but small white head with fine bubbs, some sticky lacing all sitting on top hazy, dirty lacing. The aroma is beyond light with notes of lemon, yeast and its mid range spice... that’s it. The taste is close to the same with more blandness and dry peppery spice, slight banana and lemon. Very crisp, not quite thin, quite drying. It gets it done I guess. Refreshing and not much else.
