Tap. Clear golden with medium off-white head. Flavour is malt, yeast, hops, bitter, spices and a little sweet. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2006
Bottled. Slightly hazy, golden beer with an off-white head. Malt, cellar and fruits in the aroma. Some metal too. The flavor starts with some alcohol, then spices, malt and hops. Medium body and a dry finish. Ok, it’s better than the regular Norwegian pilsner, but when compared to other Belgians, it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. Beautiful blond pour with nice white head. Nose is full of florals and grasses. Taste is a little sweet, but not overpowering. Well balanced. Rated 3/4/03 Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2006
Clear see through yellow (pilsner look) with white head. Aroma of yeast & spices. Little alcohol feel. Lively carbonation with an ok filling texture. Dry hoppy and pleasant finish. OK blonde. The Tripel is def. Affligems best! FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 8, 2007
330ml bottle (Poirotti, Helsinki)
Orange, small head. Heavy dense savoury aroma at first (though after sitting a while), but also some light notes too. Taste is both very light and also pleasantly hoppy. Grapey aroma, white grapes, in the taste too. When warmed and CO2 shaken out with a bit of swirling, the mouthfeel is smooth and tempting - a perfect example of Belgian excellence.

Bottle. Malty aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Big stable head. Semi-fruity flavour. Peppery, harsh bitterness. Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 2011
Light hazy golden color. Very nice blond beer actually. Nice smell and taste, good carbo and body. bhensonb (15188) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 25, 2006
Almost perfumy aroma of light fruits and a bit of yeast. (This one may be several years old) Nice golden color (with chunks!) and a vigorous white head that laces a bit. Starts with a light fruity flavor, develops a bit of malt, some spicey mix - light clove & cardomon? The finish is sweetish with an underlying hint of bitter. In the end the mouth is left with a very mild bitter. I’d say this light ale ages very well (in the cool dark). Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2007
