Poured out of a 750ml bottle into a snifter on New Years Eve 2012. Pours a crystal clear dark gold with lots of tiny champagne-like bubbles. There is a thin one finger white head but retention is good due to the plentiful carbonation. Aroma is classic Belgian Ale plenty of yeasty goodness giving off lots of clove and banana notes. Really nothing in the way of malt or hops is detectable on the nose. The yeast continues over into the flavor with clove and banana being nearly all that is present. Not sure about the quadruple hop claim on the label because I can’t really find any noticeable hops whatsoever. Bitterness is light with a crisp, drying mouthfeel leaving just a tiny bit of residual sweetness. Overall, pretty underwhelming as far as Belgian ales are concerned. Nothing wrong with it flavor wise, just nothing impressive. Not really worth the money or time.

Blond hazy body with a creamy/rocky head. Lightly hoppy aroma. Rather grassy/floral flavour. Quite ok, but not fully in balance.

75cl bottle. A bit cloudy golden with small to medium head. Nose : banana bread, little tart and cherry flavored candy. Yeast. Sip : quite strong carbonation, still bubbly while swallowed. Oily texture with low density body. Sweet and estery. Mostly aromatic hops. Some very delicate fruit flavors. The beer seams dull and too much carbonated. Aftertaste is a bit earthy and sour with some little bitterness. Not my kind of beer.

Pours a pale golden with short lived bright white head. Honey like nose with fruits and the distinct Belgian yeast. Pear and apple flavors mixed with floral notes. Not sweet, just like fine dry white wine. The flavors are laid back, making this more delicate. very good.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, pine, earthiness, spicy hops, yeast, melon, citrus and light mint. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast, lemon zest and white pepper with a crisp dry bitter lingering white pepper finish.

750ml corked and caged bottle, shared with Katie, Katie, and my sister. Mildly hazy yellow / orange color. Good white head. Some lace. Decent hoppy aroma, light metallic, bit of soap. Light, more crisp belgian-style carbonation. More dry finish. Light bitter, good zestiness. Decent, respectable golden ale. Katies liked it significantly better than the Wittekerke Winter White they were drinking prior to this.
