330ml brown bottle. Surprisingly great mix of aromas in this one - tea, floral hop, bitter chocolate and fruit. Thick creamy off white head, tight beads. Leaves amazing streaky lacing in the Affligem glass. Beer is reddish brown and hazy. Caramel/dark malts up front, hops arrive mid way through and carry into the finish. Some yeasty aftertastes, and at times it seemed a bit to carbonated, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Mine says 7%, so I hope its the same one. Color is bowling ball purple-brown. Looks slushy. The head doesnt stick around. Aroma is molasses, deep toffee, plums and stone fruits. Extremely sweet in the nostrils. Sugar plums and spices. Needs to decant a bit to breathe. Once it does, the sugars subside and become less cloying/saccharine. The spices in the stone fruits bust out. The flavor is molasses at the back of the gullet, but sugary stone fruits at the front of the tongue. The booze is not invisible but also not intrusive. Its very grainy: the barley husk is very prevalent. There is a strong cola component that adds a corn syrupy flavor that I am not sure I love. Creamy thick feel, but very smooth and oily on the exterior. Its a good beer that needs to breathe. I also got it at a very, very good price: $4.99 for a bomber.

Light brown rosey color, no head. Sugary bready aroma. Medicinal herb bitterness. Malts and a doughy yeast aftertaste. Not bad, but to be fair its not my favorite style.

Mooie bananen dubbel. Euhhh zijn bananen nu ook fruit????

Brownish red gorgeous. Caramel, figs, and other dark fruit on the nose. Luscious dark sugar and dates with moderate hops. Thick on the palate. Quite good. Tap at some bar in Amsterdam Canal Zone.

Bottle at home. Pours ruby red with big, fluffy bubbles. Tastes cloves, spices, yeast and fruitty esters. Medium carbonation, watery mouthfeel. Good.

From old tasting notes. Reddish brown color topped by a thick, bubbly beige head. Fruity malt aroma. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor with hints of sherry and Dr. Pepper. Zesty dry malty finish. Flavor improves as beer warms. Long, clingy sweet malt aftertaste.

Pours hazy amber/brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma contains malt, mocca, caramel, dark fruits and spices. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter. Fruity onset, spicy finish, and a bit metallic. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation - too strong. Cant shake the thought that it could have been better for an Abbey Dubbel.
