rumore (868) - Rimini, ITALY - JAN 4, 2018
33cl bottle at Circus, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark amber with creamy whitish foam, high and persistent. Aroma is intensely malty and caramel. Body is average, with just a bit of stickiness, and medium carbonation. Taste is sweet, but without much character. Finish is average.

330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from BeerWulf. Ah, here's a pleasure, I thought I'd already rated this beer. I do like these malty living beers. Belgium make some of the most satisfying strong bottled beers in the world. I love the marriage of malt and yeast, and low use of hops. Each to their, but I'd rather a malty beer over a hop juice in a bland characterless malt any day of the week. OK, so this is not one of the best examples of a malty beer, but it's still quite drinkable.

Bottle 0.33 , Dark amber to dark brownish pour with some off-white head. Nice lacing. The taste is sweet and kinda sour as well. It has nice malty caramel and coffee, some yeasty and fruity aromas. One can taste raisin and ripe fruit. Quite carbonated for the style.

malacka (44) - CROATIA - NOV 13, 2017
Dark amber to dark brown pour with an off-white head. There is a sweet, malty and yeasty aroma as well. There are also some fruity, plum and raisin aromas with coffee notes. Lively carbonation. Quite solid.

Mpuntmuts (370) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 12, 2017
Clear dark amber with a huge head. Bready malts and burnt sugar for aroma. Taste follows the nose. Medium body with quite the carbonation. Nice dubbel, nothing to go crazy over. I liked the blond better.
