Cellared a 750mL bottle for 2 years. Very tasty and typical Belgian Christmas Ale. Perhaps a bit more licorice than most, but this beer has a very inviting and intense aroma, a deep malty nose, and complicated finish. Definitely will be looking for this again.
Poured from 750ml bottle after cellaring for 3 years.
Hazy brown with an an off-white head and good lacing.
Aroma of plums, raisins, caramel, spices and yeast.
Taste of raisins, spices, plums, caramel and yeast.
Medium body and medium carbonation.

Noel poured a deep brown body with an heavy off white cap which left decent lace on my glass. Aroma of candied plums, raisins, and spices. flavor was similar to the aroma with caramel hints showing up. Nice and smooth, good mouthfeel. Overall it was better than i thought it would be, a pretty good beer thats worth a try. Originally rated on 11/24/08 eaglepark (8) - Crestview, Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2016 does not count
A perfect Christmas pint. Aroma of cloves, coffee...Amazing taste that is good from the first sip till the end. Lucky to have had this on tap. CaptainTilven (193) - Nancy, FRANCE - APR 15, 2016
On tap. 2015 version. Limpid amber body headed by a fine and persistent foam. Aroma of candi, prune, clove. Taste is similar in addition to malt; fine, balanced, round but nos heavy; not very strong bitterness; quite light; coffee in the end. Matches well main courses a bit spicy as well as a waffer with toffee apples. Fairly classical and well done. daje (4548) - NORWAY - MAR 18, 2016
On tap at De Heeren Van Liedekercke, march 12th 2015. Hazy brown body with a lively beige head. Aroma strikes as a punch of dark fruits, toffee, clove. Taste of caramel, raisin, spicy yeast, mild banana. Medium sweet palate with a nice aftertaste of prunes and apricot. Nice!

Bevuta alla spina alla rock house a torino. Malti molto presenti. Perfettamente in stile. Buona per le birre del genere. Finale scintigrafico. Silvan7 (1279) - Samarate, ITALY - JAN 9, 2016
On tap @ Campiglio. Ramata carica limpida. Schiuma beige fine e persistente. Aroma intenso speziato di zenzero e coriandolo, caramello, lievito belga, crosta di pane. Lievissimo aroma erbaceo. Gusto dolce amabile, lievemente tostato, caramellato, zucchero di canna frutta candita. Amaro solo da tostatura. Equilibrata, rotonda, piena. Poco corposa, calda non molto carbonata. Looks like its vintage 2013. Wired champagne bottle but no way can this resemble champagne. Brownish darker ale. Sweeter mild aroma. Taste is malty alky bomb. Old aged lager feel to this one. Spices are not overwhelming but it is quite medicinal in the feel. Yes, now I think I feel a little dizzy about the whole situation. Would be rude if not for the aroma or the alky content. Nice package though. Tognetta (953) - São Paulo, BRAZIL - AUG 26, 2015
Avermelhada, espuma bege de média formação e persistência. Aroma caramelizado, adocicado intenso, toffe, leve amadeirado. Paladar transparece o malte, intenso, adocicado, sem amargor. Álcool perceptível, aveludada, corpo médio, sem carbonatação. Aftertaste persistente, adocicado. Em geral boa, bem ao estilo belga.
